The latest data released by Umetrip, a traveling App, the flight route from Qingdao to Seoul was the third most popular outbound route in the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival holiday, only next to the routes from Shanghai to Tokyo and from Shanghai to Osaka.
From January to May this year, the Qingdao airport saw a combined passenger throughput of 10.1388 million. Among it, the number of international and regional passengers hit 1.0394 million, a year-on-year surge of 261.6%, ranking Qingdao 9th among Chinese cities. The Qingdao airport currently has a daily average of 41 flights headed for Japan and South Korea, with one flight every half an hour in average in daytime. Among them, 16 flights are destined for Seoul every day, constituting one of China’s busiest international air route. (Zhou Jianliang)
