Qingdao pushes ahead with 31 key transportation projects this year 2023/12/30 source: International daily Print

In the news conference themed on “achievements Qingdao has currently scored in urban renovation and construction”, held on December 18, it was announced that Qingdao would strive to push ahead with the construction of 31 key transportation infrastructure projects, comprising 18 highway projects, 4 railway projects, 7 port projects and 2 hub projects. Special mention is that 12 projects, including the Qingdao-Lanzhou Expressway (the section from Hetao to Qingdao) reconstruction and expansion project and the new construction project of Dongjiakou-Liangshan Expressway (the section to the west of Shenyang-Haikou Expressway) have broken ground as scheduled, and 9 projects, including the Qingdao-Lanzhou Expressway (the section from Shuangbu to Hetao), the Mingcun-Dongjiakou Expressway, the Dagu River bridge on the National highway No. 204, Zhenhua crude oil storage in Dongjiakou Port Area and the commercial storage of crude oil, have been completed ahead of schedule.

In 2024, which marks the end of Qingdao’s three-year-long urban renovation and urban construction campaign, Qingdao will embrace mid-term adjustments of the 14th Five-Year Plan to uphold investment directions and policy support, make planning for a range of key projects that are heavily invested and excel in reaching out, work hard to include a rising number of transportation projects into the municipal campaign, advance the progress of project construction step by step, and improve and expand transportation projects. 35 key projects will be prioritized in 2024.  (Zhou Jianliang)
