A customized freight train loaded with 110 TEUs of exports, which recently departed from the Multimodal Transport Center in the SCO Demonstration Area, will leave China via the Manzhouli land port and arrive at the destination station of Belyy Rast in Moscow, Russia. It marks that Shandong Province’s first “Sino-Russian Express” train, part of the China-Europe freight trains (Qilu), has been officially put into operation.

The “Sino-Russian Express”, which will operate according to fixed trains, routes and scheduling, outperforms conventional China-Russia and China-European freight trains in terms of route stability and transport efficiency and is a new exploration and breakthrough on the basis of China-Europe freight trains (Qilu). Rational arrangements have been made in such procedures as reloading and handling in ports that involve in the “China-Russian Express”, thus reducing the transport distance by more than 30% and shortening the transport time by 8-10 days to provide clients stale expectations for manufacturing, logistics trade and capital turnover.

To date, a total of 31 domestic and international freight trains have been regularly launched in the SCO Demonstration Area, which can reach 54 cities in 23 SCO member states or countries and regions along the Belt and Road.
