Qingdao recently published and issued the List of Boosting Policies on the Industry of NEVs (the first batch), which consist of 18 support policies on procedures across the industry including manufacturing, promotion and applications, the right of way, service environment and funding support. 

    According to the policies, newly-founded makers of key components such as batteries, battery sets, electric motors, electric control devices, hydrogen fuel-cell catalysts and membrane electrodes can be granted with an one-off subsidy worth 20% of amounts invested for equipment and a maximum of RMB10mln. Furthermore, it is advocated to use different means of transportation including roll-on-roll-off ships and ship-borne containers, and adopt “direct loading” for eligible shipments to facilitate exports of NEVs.

In addition, Qingdao will continue to ramp up the construction of infrastructure including charging piles and give NEVs parking discounts to improve the service environment for NEVs.  (Sun Xin)
