Opening of the core area of China Shipping Administration Cultural City

Fuzhou Evening News: Travel to Fuzhou in the Spring Festival is another new destination! On the 18th, the core area of China Shipping Administration Cultural City in Mawei officially opened. The upgraded China Ship Administration Culture Museum, and the new appearance of the activated ship administration book office, the engine factory, the picture academy, and the Tiexie factory vividly narrate China's "past of ship administration" and the spirit of ship administration passed down from generation to generation.

Covering an area of about 116 hectares, China Shipping Administration Cultural City is divided into five areas: Guanjie area, Shipyard area, Maxianshan area, Jiugang area and Luoxingta area. Among them, the shipyard area is the core area, which retains the pattern of shipbuilding production area 100 years ago as a whole, and is the only one in China's modern industrial and cultural sites.

The oldest buildings existing in the site of the shipbuilding industry, China's key cultural and cultural protection units, the picture academy, the engine factory, and the first self-made seaplane in China, "A-1", was born in the subway factory, etc., record the track of the Chinese nation's struggle to become strong in the sea since the establishment of the shipbuilding industry in 1866.

After upgrading and transformation, the "appearance" and "temperament" of the former site of the ship administration have changed: the picture studio immersively displays the real scene of the ship design a hundred years ago; The Iron Threat Factory creates a special exhibition of Iron Threat and Aircraft Manufacturing, where tourists can "talk" with the designers of seaplane Ba Yuzao, Wang Zhu and Zeng Yijing through time and space; The ship repair section has turned into a literary and artistic ship administration book office; The hangar of the Jiaju assembly plant has become the "hangar" for displaying the 1:1 recovery model of the "A-1" seaplane.  (Ma Liqing)
