All landscape projects in the Heart of Minjiang River are fully connected

On the morning of the 17th, a crisp siren sounded at Cangxia Wharf, and a cruise ship marked with the words "The Heart of the Minjiang River Ferry Special Line" set out from Cangxia Island and sailed to Yantai Mountain Wharf on the opposite bank through Sanxian Island. This means that the crossing between Cangxia and Yantai Mountain is again navigable after nearly 30 years, and the landscape nodes at the heart of the Minjiang River are fully connected.

The cross-strait crossing was once an important way of transportation in the Minjiang section of the main urban area of Fuzhou. With the completion of Minjiang River Bridge, Jiefang Bridge, Sanxianzhou Bridge and other river-crossing bridges, land transportation has become the main mode of traffic on both sides of Minjiang River in the past 30 years.

In December 2021, the Fuzhou Development and Reform Commission approved the construction of the "Two Rivers and Four Shores" cruise ship terminal (Phase I) project in Fuzhou, including Cangxia Terminal, Yantai Mountain Terminal, Xingshun Terminal, Xiayang Terminal, etc., in order to improve the tourism quality of the "Two Rivers and Four Shores" and meet the needs of water tourism development.

"The Heart of the Minjiang River is the core section of the 'two rivers and four banks' landscape belt, with a total length of about 4 kilometers. Our current location is Cangxia Wharf, which is also the starting point of the cruise ship. Today's route is from Cangxia Wharf to Yantai Mountain Wharf via Sanxianzhou, which takes about 15 minutes." While enjoying the beautiful scenery, the tourists listen to the narrator introduce the historical stories of Yantai Mountain, Cangxia Island and Shangxiahang.

The completion and opening of the cross-strait crossing project between Cangxia and Yantai means that the tourist lines of the two cultural blocks, Shangxiahang and Yantai, are connected in series, and the landscape nodes at the heart of the Minjiang River are fully connected.
