QINGDAO -- The "Deep Sea Warrior" International Sailing Skills Competition, also the Academic Exchanges of Naval International Cadets Week concluded on Oct 21 in Qingdao City, Shandong Province, with many officers commending the event's role in deepening the friendship between navies of the participating countries.

A series of exchange activities, including skills competitions, academic seminars, visits to military facilities, and friendly sports events, were held during the six-day event to further foster cooperation and deepen relationships among international naval academies.

A total of 120 naval cadets from nine countries, namely, China, Bangladesh, Fiji, Mozambique, Nigeria, Pakistan, Russia, Singapore, and Tanzania, took part in the event under the theme of "Joining Hands to Build a Maritime Community with a Shared Future, and Making the Blue Ocean More Peaceful and Prosperous in Our Era."

The young midshipmen said the event has built a platform for them to promote mutual understanding and deepen their friendship.
