From May 5th, 2024 on, foreign tourist groups (comprising two members and more), travelling by cruise ship and received by Chinese domestic travel agencies, can be entitled to visa exemptions at cruise ports in 13 cities, namely, Tianjin, Dalian in Liaoning, Lianyungang in Jiangsu, Wenzhou and Zhoushan in Zhejiang, Xiamen in Fujian, Qingdao in Shandong, Guangzhou and Shenzhen in Guangdong, Beihai in Guangxi, Haikou and Sanya in Hainan, and stay for a period of no more than 15 days.

With priority given to facilitation of customs clearance for international passengers travelling by cruise ship and landing for crew members, cruise ship building and maintenance, comprehensive services and the development of new forms of activities, the China National Immigration Administration has rolled out a package of measures to boost the cruise industry to further enhance the entry and exit facilitation level for cruise ships.  (Liang Chao)
