The China-South Korea Theme Tourism Development Conference was held in Qingdao on March 27, aiming to promote the distinctive tourism attractions of China and South Korea and jointly advance the development of cultural and tourism exchanges between the two countries.

As an important coastal port city in eastern China, Qingdao's strong transportation infrastructure and good location have made it a major transit point for tourism between China and South Korea. Qingdao is a gateway for Chinese tourists traveling to South Korea, while South Korea is the largest source of overseas tourists to Qingdao.

Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport, the only 4F-grade airport in Shandong province, has achieved full coverage of major cities in Japan and South Korea. There are currently 34 daily round-trip flights between Qingdao and Seoul and Busan. With the further recovery of the tourism industry and the deepening economic, trade, and cultural exchanges between China and South Korea, the number of flights between Qingdao and South Korea will increase, providing a solid backing for the development of tourism in both places.
