China's 2024 summer-autumn flight season began on March 31. After the seasonal transition, Qingdao airport has planned a total of 4,661 weekly scheduled flights, ranking fourth in the country in terms of the increase in its weekly flight volume.

Currently, Qingdao airport plans to open new routes to six destinations: Huizhou, Manzhouli, Zhangjiajie, Beihai, Shihezi, and Wuyishan. The number of domestic destinations has reached 93, 11 more than in 2023.

Among the existing routes, there are plans to increase the frequency of flights to 35 domestic destinations, including 13 direct-controlled municipalities and provincial capitals, as well as 22 branch line destinations.

With the launch of individual visit for Qingdao residents to Hong Kong and Macao, the number of flights from Qingdao to Hong Kong has been increased to 15 per week.

The number of flights to Seoul has been increased to an average of 17 flights per day, and the number of passenger flights from Qingdao to Japan and South Korea has increased to an average of 46 per day, further consolidating its position as a gateway to Japan and South Korea.

At the same time, Qingdao airport has maintained stable operations for regional and international routes to Tokyo, Osaka, Busan, Dubai, Singapore, Bangkok, Kathmandu, Nha Trang, London, Melbourne, Sydney, Moscow, Macao, and Taipei, with the passenger flight volume for international and regional routes increasing to 83.6 percent of the 2019 level.
