The enterprises working overtime for production have sustained a steady growth year on year in both the number and the output value; the construction of key projects, including metro projects, have been on a fast track; the scenic spots have seen growth in both the number of tourists and the operating revenue; the combined passenger flow of railways, expressways and civil aviation has amounted to 1.9086 million. In the Chinese Year of the Dragon holiday, Qingdao has coordinated efforts to arrange production for industrial enterprises to ensure industrial economy would run steadily during the festival. As many as 1,508 industrial enterprises above designated scale across the city have worked overtime for production and generated a combined output value of RMB 8.43 bln. The enterprises working overtime for production increased from the year before in both the number and the output value. Qingdao Port has made a good start for the Year of the Dragon with juicy results, including a 5.6% year-on-year increase in cargo throughput and a 10.5% year-on-year rise in container throughput.

More than 1,400 workers stuck to their posts during the Spring Festival holiday in 21 working locations of Qingdao Metro to gain momentum for “Qingdao on the Track”. So far, 205 working locations of seven lines in the third phase of Qingdao Metro have begun construction, occupying 98% of the total; 94 stations have entered the stage of main structure construction, representing 93% of the total; 11 stations have been completed in main structure; 29 mechanical and heading equipment have been put into use.

According to monitoring data of Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, 70 grade A scenic spots in Qingdao have welcomed 3.7571 million, surging 118.83% year on year; generated RMB 84.9563 mln in revenue, a year-on-year increase of 43.54%. 57 monitored star-rated hotels have reported a 35.43% bed occupancy rate, up 6.41 percentage points over the same period last year; generated a total of RMB 31.1314 mln in revenue, increasing by 22.58% year on year. Scenic spots in Qingdao have seen growth in both the number of tourists and the revenue.

As indicated by the statistics by the public service center under Qingdao Municipal Transport Bureau, the combined transport volume of railways, expressways and civil aviation across the city in the just-concluded Spring Festival holiday has amounted to 1.9086 million person-times, with a daily average of 238,600 person-times, increasing by 141.57% from the same period in 2023 and 44.67% compared with the level in 2019.
