According to the 2023 Ranking List of Chinese Cities Attractive for Talent, the top 50 Chinese cities attractive for talent born after 1995 were unveiled, among which Qingdao elbowed its way into the top 10 for the first time. From January to October this year, Qingdao has attracted an inflow of 136,600 young workforce, a year-on-year increase of 19.7%, including 1,034 doctor degree holders, a year-on-year rise of 6%, in a sign of a continuous stream of young workforce into Qingdao.

With a focus on famous institutions of higher learning at home and abroad, key colleges and universities in Shandong Province and Qingdao-based colleges and universities, Qingdao is employing both “going out” and “bringing in” to attract young workforce of all kinds, so as to facilitate the introduction of worldwide intelligence.
