As an annual event in Qingdao’s internet sector, the 2023 Qingdao Ceremony for Internet Influencers was held recently, where winners were announced for awards such as the “Moment of Touching Qingdao”, the “Top Ten Creative New Media Works” and the “Top Ten Influential Short Videos”.

Wang Yang, a volunteer, soaked his body in ice-cold seawater to help rescue eight tourists; the Qingdao rescue team rushed all the way to rescue after an earthquake hit Turkey; a girl from Qingdao has ghostwritten 1,000-plus letters on weekly basis for three consecutive years, thus helping strangers have a sense of belonging; Li Benqiang, a bus driver in Qingdao, helped an old man from another place to fulfill his dream of seeing the sea. Such positive energy-featured cyber works, cases of innovation and people that make Qingdao touched contribute to further better tell Qingdao’s stories and make Qingdao’s good voices better heard.

The ceremony has been held four times in a row and emerged as an important platform to unite and pool internet influencers, cyber professionals and we-media resources as well as a festival of netizens.  (Yang Qiqi)
