Coffee enthusiasts in South Korea flocked to the eastern coastal city of Gangneung for the annual coffee festival held over the weekend after a two-year hiatus caused by the pandemic. This was the 13th edition of the event featuring more than 80 coffee booths and a signature program, titled "100 People 100 Tastes", with participants making hand drip coffee both on-site and online to present their barista skills and free coffee being given out."Everyone had coffee and each cup of coffee was unique in flavor, which left a deep impression on me," a female tourist told CCTV."If you are looking for coffee with unique flavors and authentic tastes, this festival is the right place to visit. I'm planning to recommend it to my friends," said a male tourist.Having been postponed for two years due to the pandemic, the event's organizers said they had capped the number of visitors to prevent the risk of infection."We've done our best to ensure the safety, such as people can only drink coffee at the designated area. The previous event received around 400,000 tourists. But this year’s event requires registration to restrict daily visitors to 10,000," said Shim Won, one of the organizers of the festival.
