Qingdao and other Chinese cities improve services to ensure safe travel during Lunar New Year holiday

China Railways have rolled out a series of refined services to passengers during the Chinese Lunar New Year holiday.
The Qingdao Passenger Traffic Section cooperated with Qingdao taxi companies for providing special services to old people. Before a train arrives at the Qingdao Station, the head of the train crew would send information about elderly passengers to taxi services and the taxi would wait at the designate place and volunteers would help the elderly to the taxi.
"With the help of the train crew, we can get a taxi quickly. We are very grateful, and this service is very considerate," said en elderly passenger.
In Guangzhou, the Railway Group provided seamless service from departure, checking-in and in the trains for old people.
In Yulin, the Railway Station thoughtful services to elderlies. They have arranged doctors at the station to provide medical assistance needed.
In Harbin City, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, where the lowest temperature reached minus 40 degrees Celsius, the railway department has made more efforts to keep the passengers warm, such as blocking the window gaps, water discharge holes and basin drains from the cold winds.
