Markets and restaurants in China's rural areas are preparing for a rush of customers ahead of the Lunar New Year, which falls on February 12 this year.
Qingdao City, in east China's Shandong Province, is home to one of the oldest and largest open-air markets in the region. Every year, thousands of vendors display their products ranging from fresh seafood to traditional decorations at the market, which covers a vast area of about 15 football fields.
