Looking for a fun and unusual holiday getaway, tourists have been flocking to a panda-themed village in southwest China's Sichuan Province.
Attracted by the countless murals and sculptures, visitors can walk just about anywhere in Longcanggou village for a photo opportunity with images of the gentle giant panda.
"I brought my family to see the pandas here. These pandas are very cute. Children really like them," said a visitor.
A guest house owner, Shen Heping, said that the lodging homes have helped boost tourism in the village after years of restoration work.
"The village started reconstruction in 2012. The houses were very old, and villagers went outside to work. Now we are all back to run guest houses," she said.
Featuring a number of beautiful natural parks and scenic spots in the surrounding area, the village has attracted entrepreneurs from other cities to settle down and enjoy the sight of the numerous panda images throughout the town.
"The air quality is very good here. I felt comfortable when I came here, so I decided to open a guest house to keep healthy and also earn money. After operating for two years, the profit was beyond my expectations," said Gao Kui, another guest house owner.
