South China's Guangdong Province is helping countries around the world fight COVID-19 by proving medical equipment and sharing core scientific research achievements.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, a number of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) produced by DJ-Innovations (DJI) have been put into operation in the front line war against COVID-19.
In order to make UAVs more suitable for epidemic prevention and control, DJI has conducted scientific research into thermal imaging UAVs and adapted UAVs for the use of testing, equipping them to hold swabs.
So far DJI's thermal imaging UAVs have been used in Italy, Spain, and France, among other countries.
As the coronavirus continues to spread overseas, orders for medical devices are surging.
Shenzhen Mindray Bio-Medical Electronics Co.,Ltd. has created new product lines and improved its process to expand production capacity, as well as built up an international exchange platform for experts to fight the virus and analyze clinical challenges.
"So far Mindray has organized more than 10 lectures to share China's experience fighting the epidemic. More than 40,000 overseas medical workers and experts have participated. Besides providing equipment, we hope to provide overseas experts with more power [to fight COVID-19]," said Yin Luntao, deputy president of Mindray Medical.
In addition to medical equipment, effective medical plans and experience are needed to successfully combat COVID-19.
Medical experts in Guangdong Province have held online meetings with the overseas counterparts to share their experience and knowledge in treating coronavirus cases.
"We have done well in the first half of the battle, now we need to continue. I think these events are very meaningful for academic communications and the battle against the outbreak," said Liu Lei, president of the Third People's Hospital of Shenzhen.
