Chaozhou is located in the eastern of Guangdong Province, China, bordering the South China Sea, with a pleasant climate and evergreen seasons. In 1991, with the approval of the State Council, Chaozhou was upgraded to a prefecture-level city. The city has a total area of 3,679 square kilometers, governing Chao'an District, Raoping County and Xiangqiao District, and also has Fengxi District Management Committee.
