Dongguan partners with seven e-commerce platforms to stimulate consumption
On 28th April, "Thriving Dongguan, Shopping Online" was officially launched. The event is co-hosted by the People's government of Dongguan and seven major e-commerce platforms: Taobao 1688 (Alibaba's e-commerce platform), Pinduoduo, Jingxi (Jingdong's social e-commerce platform), Suning.com, ByteDance, TIANYIN Interactive, and Quexiyigou (Monda Group's e-commerce platform). It is worth mentioning that Quexiyigou is a native Dongguan brand.
The organizing committee specially set up live broadcast rooms at DG Mall and other venues at which internet celebrities endorsed Dongguan's high-quality products to the world. This event promotes the industrial advantages of "Made in Dongguan", and with integrated e-commerce platform resources supporting Dongguan enterprises is able to further tap the domestic market via the new "e-commerce & live broadcast" mode. Guancheng district, Dongcheng district, Humen town, Dalang town, and Houjie town have joined to showcase their products. Dongguan has seen a recent boom in live streaming marketing. Previously, Dongguan took multiple measures to strengthen the production capacity of Dongguan enterprises.
At the launching ceremony, Alibaba began its "Spring Thunder Plan", offering full support to Dongguan manufacturing businesses. Suning launched live with motto "Go on! Made in Dongguan". Jingxi and TIANYIN announced a partnership intention to introduce the latest intelligent virtual anchors which will recommend goods, and bring up the popular anime "Psychic concubine". Pinduoduo is building the "Dongguan Quality Product House" to show the city's powerful manufacturing capabilities and rich industrial resources. Lastly, the Dongguan local platform Quexiyigou will join up with vendors to release 100 million RMB coupons to stimulate consumption.
