USCIS to Welcome more than 4,500 New U.S. Citizens at L.A. Convention Center Tomorrow
LOS ANGELES – Los Angeles and Southern California will welcome more than 7,900 newly naturalized citizens on Wednesday, October 14, 2015at the Los Angeles Convention Center in theWest Hall. The candidates, lawful permanent residents who have met all the requirements for citizenship, represent more than 130 countries. Members of the Armed Forces will also join the group of soon-to-be U.S. citizens taking the oath.
The top ten countries represented at Wednesday’s ceremonies will be: 1) Mexico; 2) Philippines; 3) Vietnam; 4) China; 5) El Salvador; 6) Iran; 7) South Korea; 8) Guatemala; 9) India; and 10) Armenia. These monthly naturalization ceremonies highlight the successful efforts of the Los Angeles District Office of USCIS to process thousands of lawful permanent residents to become citizens of the United States of America.
