The 2022 Qingdao International Talent Innovation and Entrepreneurship Week and the 22nd “Blue Fair” was held in the West Coast New Area of Qingdao on December 20, 2022.

  Held via both online and offline channels, the event has made overall arrangements and consisted of the key projects signing, the “Invigorating Qingdao with Talent” overseas talent introduction show, the high-level overseas talent and projects negotiation and the negotiation roadshows, etc. A total of over 120 high-level overseas talented people have been attracted to participate in the fair with their projects and negotiated virtually with key Qingdao-based enterprises and public institutions. In the opening ceremony, focusing on the 24 key industrial chains including intelligent household appliances, marine equipment, artificial intelligence, biological medicine, intelligent manufacturing, software and information technology, Qingdao posted the demand for over 2,700 high-level overseas talents and 90 projects. Around 153 employers in Qingdao have tried to solicit worldwide professionals in the “Blue Fair”.

    The club of “Blue Fair” entrepreneurs was innovatively set up in the event to build up a high-end platform for integrating resources, sharing information and seek common development, and to foster a circle of coordinated development for outstanding entrepreneurs with human touch and responsibility.

Since the beginning of 2001, Qingdao has cumulatively posted around 20,000 jobs for overseas talents in the “Blue Fair”, 12,000 high-level overseas talents have been attracted to sign up for the fair, over 3,100 overseas talents have stayed in Qingdao to pursue innovation or start their own business. As a result, over 550 new and high-tech enterprises have been established. The “Blue Fair” has greatly enabled high-end professionals at home and abroad to “take root” in Qingdao and advanced technological projects to “materialize” in Qingdao, thus enriching Qingdao’s supplies of talent, technology and intelligence.   (Liu Jiani)
