Tokyo stocks mixed in morning on firm yen, gains in tech issues

TOKYO, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks were mixed Friday morning, as selling on the yen's firmness against the U.S. dollar was offset by buying of technology issues.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average dropped 30.34 points, or 0.11 percent, from Thursday to 26,506.97.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, increased 4.47 points, or 0.25 percent, at 1,782.72.
Transportation equipment and bank issues comprised those that declined the most by the morning break, while precision instrument and real estate issues led gainers. Enditem
