2020 China Robot Industry Development Conference successfully held in Qingdao High-tech Zone

In order to promote the development of China's robot industry and foster international and domestic exchanges within the industry, on November 23, the main forum of the 2020 China Robot Industry Development Conference was successfully held in Hongdao International Convention and Exhibition Center in Qingdao High-tech Zone.

This conference is under the guidance of Qingdao Municipal People's Government, jointly hosted by China Robot Industry Alliance, Qingdao Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, the Management Committee of Qingdao High-tech Zone, with the theme of "Responding to New Challenges, Embracing New Technologies, and Seizing New Opportunities".

Wang Qingxian, member of the standing committee of the Shandong provincial Party committee and secretary of the Qingdao municipal Party committee, Luo Junjie, director of the Equipment Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Qixin, second-level inspector of the Construction Market Regulation Department of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and Lu Nan, deputy director of the Administration Department of National Coal Mine Safety Administration, attended and addressed the conference.

Experts and scholars, including Wang Tianran, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered keynote speeches. Susanne Bieller, General Secretary of International Federation of Robotics sent a video address to the conference.

Officials in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Shandong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, relevant departments of Qingdao, and Qingdao High-tech Zone, as well as representatives of enterprises from home and abroad, attended the meeting.

In addition to on-site participation, the conference was also on live broadcast through media platforms, attracting a total of 745,000 online participants.

As one of the important parts of this conference, the signing ceremonies of Qingdao's intelligent manufacturing sector and of the intelligent manufacturing projects in Qingdao High-tech Zone were held on the scene, contributing to Qingdao's development into a high ground in China's artificial intelligence application and service industry.

The conference also released the White Paper on the Development of China's Robot Industry in 2020 and Research and Development of China's Strategic Emerging Industries: Industrial Robots, in order to increase the understanding of the development of the robotics industry, provide references and basis for government departments' formulation and revision of industrial policies, standards and regulations to guide the development of industries and enterprises, and guide the development of robotics industry and enterprises.
