The 2020 World Cities Day in China will be held in Fuzhou

On October 16, the press conference of 2020 World City Day in China was held in Beijing. The theme of this year's World Cities Day is "Valuing Our Communities and Cities." The China event will be held in Fuzhou from October 30th to November 1st and broadcast both online and offline.
The World Cities Day on October 31 every year is the first international day promoted by the Chinese government in the United Nations. Its general theme is "Better City, Better Life". This year’s World Cities Day in China will be hosted by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Fujian Provincial People’s Government and UN-Habitat, and organized by the Fuzhou Municipal People’s Government. The guests at the conference will focus on the theme to share the Chinese experience of implementing the United Nations "2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development" and "New Urban Agenda", and show the practices in promoting sustainable urban development and improving the living condition.
It is understood that at the opening ceremony held at the Fuzhou Strait International Convention and Exhibition Center on October 31, the Chinese version of the "Fuzhou Initiative" and the "Shanghai Note·2020 Annual Report" of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of China will be released. In addition to the main forum, special forums and related special events with the themes of "Perfect Community, Creating Together" and "Quality City, Happy Life" will be held. (Sun Man)
