China to make SCO pilot zone in Qingdao investment opening highland

The China-Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Regional Economic and Trade Cooperation demonstrative zone is accelerating the pace of building an international logistics center and a modern trading center and other projects, according to a press conference held by the zone on Friday.
Participating in the activity were more than 60 representatives from the embassies of SCO member states in China responsible for economic affairs and SCO affairs.
The demonstrative zone is located in the Jiaozhou Economic and Technological Development Zone in Qingdao City of east China's Shandong Province.
The total value of imports and exports between Qingdao and relevant SCO member countries was 22.1 billion yuan in the first half of this year and 233 Eurasian freight train "Qilu" were operated.
Qingdao has established economic partnerships with 21 cities, provinces or states and organizations of SCO member countries. The second SCO International Trade and Investment fair will be held in Qingdao from October 16-18 both online and offline.
The SCO was established in 2001 by China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. India and Pakistan joined as full members in 2017.
