Hangzhou 2022 solicit 700 schools for public welfare in 2020 (updated)
HANGZHOU, May 19 (Xinhua) -- Organizers of the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou launched a new round of its public welfare project on Tuesday, with children from 700 schools in the country having a chance to realize their football dreams.
Compared with last year, the scope of school will expand from primary to secondary schools so that more children will have the opportunity to participate.
Those selected schools will get free football training equipment, online football training courses, participation in public welfare summer camps, friendly matches. In addition, students from those schools will have an opportunity to be invited to watch the Asian Games in Hangzhou.
500 schools across China have been selected since the project was launched in April 2018. So far, the project has received donations from more than 3.92 million people. Enditem
