The 1st polymers TPO production line of Asia to launch production in Qingdao in next month

Qingdao Dong Fang Yu Hong Construction Materials Co Ltd, a leading domestic waterproofing industry company headquartered on Wangcheng Street, Laixi city, Qingdao, is Qingdao’s municipal key project. Its 1st plant, waterproofing membrane plant, started production this January. Next, the 1st polymers TPO production line of Asia, wholly introduced by the project entered test phase and is going to launch production next month.
TPO waterproofing membrane, a thermoplastic sheet rubber elastic waterproofing materials with vinyl resin as binder and prepared by cutting-edge polarization and particular formula, is widely used in US and European countries in recent years. Without plasticizer, it avoids turning crispy due to loss of plasticizer. It can be called the world’s top waterproofing material because it performs well in tensile strength, duration, UV-proofing, smooth, reflection, and pollution resisting, and also is easy for processing and eco-friendly. Dong Fang Yu Hong Qingdao project, Asia’s 1st polymers TPO production line with the designed annual production capacity of 10 million square meters polymer waterproofing membrane, will achieve CNY1 billion production value after project in full throttle. Its products are used in waterproofing and heat-insulation system of metal roof such as large industrial factory, airport terminal station, and bullet train station. “The market shows strong demand. We have already received 5 million square meters polymers membrane orders. This year is the 1st year of production. It is predicted that the revenue of the whole year will be CNY600 million,” company leader Yang Wenxin said. (Zhang Jin)

2.Qingdao received 2.622 million person-time tourists during Spring Festival

3.“Chameleon” Tsingtao Brewery makes 14 kinds of beer in one day
In the factory of Tsingtao Brewery on No.56 of Dengzhou Road, workers of packaging department are very busy every Spring Festival. The section foreman Hao Quanqing shifts product type of production line in fastest speed. In the last minute it produces alumina bottle of the hot sales in Spring Festival goods market Year of the Dog Lucky Everywhere special edition, in the next minute it turned to produce small bottle products for US and Euro market.
From bottle washing machine to bottle checking machine, filling and capping machine, labeling machine, case packing machine and stacker, Hao ran back and forth in the production line. Packing is the last step of beer production, and it also has the most sophisticated techniques and highest automated level.
Hao said: “Now the No.3 production line can produce 14 types of beer in one day. Shifting is very complicated.” For workers, the most direct feeling is the production procedure becoming more challenging.
In the 1980s, the factory produced only 3 types of products, now it produces as many as 227 types. Facing the transformation in the industry, Tsingtao Brewery Co., Ltd. quickly turns to small-amount flexible production. The increase of types means each production line shall frequently change product, label, bottle cap, bottle shape and pack. While change of bottle shape means part of packing machine, labeling machine and bottle washing machine shall be changed.
In the past, once a bottle in production line fell over, bottles nearby would be brought down and dragged down efficiency. In the small bottle production era nowadays, there are as many as 12 types of bottles, including 258ml, 330ml and 355ml bottles. 258ml bottle, called Slim Waist, is a headache in production line because it is good for holding but easy to fall over because of heavier upper half when in conveyor belt. How to solve it? Engineers of Tsingtao Brewery Co., Ltd. adopted a creative variable frequency open-loop control to avoid bottle squeezing by speed control.
“In the last year we did innovative reform to equipment imported from Germany and increased by another 33% to indicator TPO based on the previous leading level,” Hao said. Increase of TPO as an indicator is easy to be neglected but it reflects an increase of freshness of beer, and also reflects progress made by Chinese engineers.
Many other new applications and changes like this can be found in the No.3 production line, which enjoys dozens of years of history and can produce over 30,000 bottles of beer an hour and work 24-hour a day without stopping for a whole year. In 2017, type-shifting times of the production line increased by another 13.3%, while shifting time just added by 7%. Behind it are advanced control and management ideology, and consistent reform and innovation to production.
Tsingtao Brewery Co., Ltd. now undertakes the production task of exported beer. It issued a series of innovative products, including Artistic, Classic 1903, Lucky Everywhere aluminum bottle, Antarctic bottle, Tsingtao original beer (5L), Oath in the Peach Garden cultural bottle, Midnight Diner special edition.
“The smallest order is just over 100 boxes. Increase of so many types is for market change and consumer demand. Colleagues didn’t understand at the very beginning, gradually they can understand and adapt to it,” said Huang Xing, the assistant of plant director and director of packaging department of Tsingtao Brewery Co., Ltd.
