Fuzhou students won the International Olympiad in Informatics Gold Medal

[Fuzhou Evening News] The 31st International Olympiad in Informatics (hereinafter referred to as IOI) was held in Baku, Azerbaijan, from August 4th to 11th. 325 players from all over the world participated in the competition. Zhong Ziqian, from Fuzhou No.3 Middle School, who was one of the four members of the Chinese national team, got the fourth place among all the players with 491.46 points and won the gold medal.It is reported that this is also after 12 years, another student from Fuzhou No. 3 Middle School won the IOI gold medal. In 2001, at the 13th IOI held in Finland, Mao Ziqing won the first gold medal for Fuzhou No. 3 Middle School; in 2007, at the 19th IOI held in Croatia, Yang Mu won the second gold medal. Zhong Ziqian’s third gold medal has continued writing the glory and legend of a school that won three gold medals in IOI.It is understood that IOI is the second largest international academic competition after the International Mathematical Olympiad. Each participating country and region will send four top middle school students in computer science to participate.
