Whether it's the simple winter melon sweet soup or the exquisitely carved winter melon bowl, they all sell like hot cakes during summer. One of the most famous dishes is the Eight-Treasure Winter Melon Bowl, a traditional Cantonese delicacy. When making this dish, many restaurants in Guangzhou, such as Guangzhou Restaurant, Nan Yuan Restaurant, and the Xiguanyue restaurant of the Guangdong Victory Hotel, still adhere to the traditional method. 消暑最宜吃冬瓜盅

每到夏天，对老广来说最有爱的蔬菜莫过于冬瓜了，无论是平凡的冬瓜水还是精雕细琢的冬瓜盅，只要是在夏天，曝光率都是引人注目的。最为著名的不得不提传统粤菜“八宝冬瓜盅”，广州不少酒楼都有坚持传统的做法，如广州酒家、南园酒家、胜利宾馆西关粤等。据介绍，“八宝冬瓜盅”的“八宝”一般包括猪肉丁、鲜鸭肉丁、烧鸭肉丁、田鸡肉、蟹肉丁、腌虾仁、鸭肾丁以及火腿丁八样。
