Qiong Xia enchants Guangzhou audience

On the evening of July 22, a touring original Cantonese opera performance of "Home Visit" was held at the Art Museum of Cantonese Opera on Enning Road, Guangzhou. The classic performance was given by Qiong Xia and her students, receiving a standing ovation.

Qiong Xia, who is the last pupil of the Cantonese Opera maestro Kuang Jianlian (stage name "Red Line Woman"), is a distinguished artist and recipient of China's highest honor - the Plum Performance Award - in drama. She is an endearing leader in Cantonese Opera that boasts her remarkable voice, captivating appearance, and extraordinary artistry. Kuang Jianlian once wrote an appreciation note for her: "Cantonese Opera Qiong Xia, Boundless Future". #artandculture

7月22日晚，“红韵琼姿永霞彩”——琼霞粤剧艺术专场暨原创粤剧小戏《家访》巡演活动广州站在广州恩宁路的粤剧艺术博物馆举办。红线女关门弟子琼霞，以及琼霞的弟子们为广州粤剧戏迷演绎了粤剧经典作品，获得满堂喝彩。

琼霞师从粤剧一代宗师红线女，是正式斟茶拜师入室的红线女关门弟子，是中国戏剧梅花奖获得者。她是当今粤剧舞台上不可多得的声、色、艺俱全，德艺双馨的“红派”领军人物。红线女曾亲笔为她题字“粤剧琼霞 前程无限”。
