Blue-throated Bee-eaters spotted at the Wanlv Lake Scenic Spot

#TheGreatBeautyofGuangdong Recently, a shutterbug photographed the Blue-throated Bee-eater, dubbed one of the "most beautiful little birds in China" at Yangmei Village of Dongyuan County, located in the Wanlv Lake Scenic Spot. The Blue-throated Bee-eater is a state-level second-class protected animal, characterized by its classy chestnut slicked-back hairstyle and a stunning iridescent blue tailcoat, with extremely high value for both observation and scientific research. It's worth noting that Wanlv Lake has currently identified over 1,000 species of flora and fauna, including rare and endangered creatures like the peach blossom jellyfish, Asian giant softshell turtle, and sambar deer.

近日,一位摄影爱好者在河源万绿湖风景区的东源县杨梅村,拍摄到有“中国最美小鸟”之称的蓝喉蜂虎。蓝喉蜂虎是国家二级保护动物,栗色“后背头”,着一袭孔雀蓝绿的“燕尾服”,极具观赏与科研价值。据了解,万绿湖目前已发现有1000多种动植物,其中还有桃花水母、鼋、水鹿等珍稀濒危动物。
