#老广贺春 #NewYearinLingnan Despite the cold weather, the number of passengers at Guangzhou South Railway Station reached a peak as tens of thousands of holidaymakers are heading home for the New Year.

According to the passenger department ofChina Railway Guangzhou Group Co.，Ltd., the first 9 days of the Spring Festival journey saw a total of 11,659,000 passengers, an increase of 17.2% compared with the previous year. The majority of these passengers were returning home to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year with their friends and families.

On January 16 alone,China Railway Guangzhou Group Co.，Ltd.transported some 1.56 million passengers, an increase of 190,000 passengers compared with 2022, an increase of 13.9%.

天寒地冻挡不住人们回乡过年的热情！根据广铁集团客运部介绍，春运前9天，广铁集团累计发送旅客1165.9万人次，同比2022年增长17.2%，客流主要以返乡流、探亲流、旅游流为主。1月16日，春运广铁集团发送旅客156万人次，同比2022年增加19万人次，增长达到13.9%。（云上岭南）
