Screening&Conversation: The Education University of Hong Kong Hosts Film Screening and Cultural Dialogue

Art and Culture | On October 24, the Maritime Guangdong Program will co-host an academic film screening and cultural dialogue in Hong Kong with the Research Centre for Creative Arts and Public Value (RCCAPV) at The Education University of Hong Kong. The event will feature The River That Holds My Hand, a short film directed by young filmmaker Chen Jianhang, followed by a panel discussion on filmmaking, cultural communities and support networks. Exploring the experiences of the Chaoshan diaspora and their longing for home, the film offers a lens through which to discuss migration, cultural identity and the role of filmmaking in connecting communities. The related feature-length project previously received the “Asian New Director Award” and was selected for the Asian Cinema Fund at the Busan International Film Festival. #artandculture

2026年10月24日，山海计划将携手香港教育大学艺术与公共价值研究中心在香港举办学术放映与交流活动，放映青年导演陈坚杭执导的短片《The River That Holds My Hand》，并围绕"影像创作、文化社群与支持网络"展开对谈。该片以潮汕移民的离散与乡愁为叙事核心，其孵化的长片项目曾获"亚洲之光新导演奖"并入选釜山国际电影节亚洲电影基金。
