Lingnan Cuisine | The firewood crackles, the filling simmers in a copper pot, and the aroma of freshly baked mooncakes drifts from an old bakery. This familiar fragrance has been part of life in Baitu Town, Qujiang District, Shaoguan. More than four centuries ago, Cantonese pastry-making traditions were introduced to Baitu Town through its waterways and trade, where they gradually merged with local traditions to become the Baitu mooncakes known today.

柴火噼啪作响，铜锅里的馅料翻滚，一阵香气从老饼厂飘出来。这股香味，白土人闻了四百多年。400多年前，随着水运商贸往来，广式制饼技艺来到韶关市曲江区白土镇，与本土赏饼传统相遇、融合，逐渐形成了今天的白土月饼。
