City Life | Early autumn may still feel hot outdoors, but the aquaculture base at the Guangdong Dapeng LNG Terminal offers a cool oasis of its own. Sea breezes sweep across the facility as the Open Rack Vaporizer (ORV) continues to operate. Here, liquefied natural gas at ?162°C exchanges heat with seawater. The seawater cools by 3–5°C during the process and then flows steadily through open channels. According to a Yangcheng Evening News reporter who visited the site, this valuable industrial cold energy was once simply discharged into the sea with the wastewater. Today, it is being put to good use as "Diamond Water" for high-end seafood farming, helping power a modern, low-carbon aquaculture base. #citylife

时至初秋，户外暑气尚未消散，而深圳大鹏LNG接收站内的养殖基地却自成一方清凉秘境。海风掠过厂区，海水开架式气化器(ORV)持续运转，零下162℃的液化天然气在此与海水完成热交换，换热后降温3-5摄氏度的冷海水顺着明渠汩汩流淌。羊城晚报记者实地探访后了解到，以往这份宝贵的工业余冷只会随尾水排入大海、白白损耗，但如今却变废为宝，化身滋养高端海产的养殖“钻石水”，赋能一座绿色低碳的现代化海洋养殖基地高效运转。
