City Life | As the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, this year’s celebration will feature an unusual full-moon timing: the Moon will reach its full phase on the 17th day of the lunar month. The full moon will occur at 00:49 on September 27. To help residents find good places to watch the Moon, Conghua District has recommended more than 10 viewing spots across the district, ranging from mountains and natural areas to lakeshores, riverbanks, ancient towns and urban viewing decks. Astronomers say there is no need to wait for the exact moment of the full moon. To the naked eye, the Moon will appear almost equally full on September 25, 26 and 27, making all three nights suitable for moon-gazing.#citylife

中秋佳节将至，今年中秋月将出现罕见的“十七圆”现象，最圆时刻为9月27日0时49分。为方便市民赏月，从化区梳理推荐了区内十余处赏月佳地，覆盖山野、湖畔、河岸、古镇与城市阳台。天文专家提醒，公众赏月不必执着于最圆的那一刻，9月25日、26日、27日连续三晚，肉眼观测的月亮差别不大，均适宜观赏。
