Step Into a 600-Year-Old Village in Guangzhou

Founded in 1373 during the Ming Dynasty, Huakeng Village is tucked away in Huangpu District, Guangzhou. Once a village on Guangzhou’s urban fringe facing outdated infrastructure and limited economic opportunities, Huakeng has undergone a remarkable transformation. Since 2023, guided by Guangdong’s “Hundreds, Thousands and Tens of Thousands Project,” the village has become a greener and more livable community, where parks, public spaces, and restored natural landscapes are now part of everyday life.

广州黄埔红山街道华坑村，始建于明洪武六年（1373年），曾因基础设施滞后、产业支撑不足而“路过无声”。2023年以来，红山街道以“百千万工程”为总抓手，从“半城中村”发展到“推窗见绿、出门进园”。
