Guangdong Museum of Art Unveils Upgraded Main Venue

Art and Culture |On June 9, the main venue of the Guangdong Museum of Art on Guangzhou’s Ersha Island opened to the public for the first time after a renovation and upgrade. Three exhibitions launched simultaneously: Masters Series of Reform Mission: Guangdong Art Centennial Exhibition, Winds of Ten Thousand Miles: A Retrospective of Guan Shanyue, and Boundless: A Retrospective of GDMOA’s Young Artists Nomination Exhibition Series. Following the upgrade, the Ersha Island venue will focus on the study of classic Guangdong art from the 20th century onward and serve as an academic platform for modern and contemporary Guangdong art.

6月9日，位于广州二沙岛的广东美术馆本馆迎来定位更新后的首次亮相。“其命惟新——广东百年美术作品及文献陈列展”“长风万里——关山月艺术大展”“无界——广东美术馆青年艺术家提名学术展回顾”三大展览同期启幕。升级后的二沙岛本馆将聚焦20世纪以来广东美术的经典研究，打造广东近现代美术的学术阵地。
