Lingnan: Beauty Beyond Borders | On World Earth Day, Guangdong stands out as one of the country’s greenest provinces, with a forest coverage rate of 53.39%, treating its natural landscapes as a foundation for long-term well-being. First, conservation. In the Nanling Mountains at Ruyang Forest Farm, forest rangers often encounter rare species such as the Mangshan Pit Viper, Silver Pheasant, and Cabot’s Tragopan. Second, sustainable use. The Maliushan Homestay in Guangning, Zhaoqing, once an abandoned bamboo garden, has become a popular social media hotspot, with rooms often fully booked on weekends. Third, ecological restoration. In Nanxiong, Shaoguan, former red sandstone hills—once plagued by dust in dry weather and mud in the rainy season—have seen vegetation coverage rise from 70% to 90.8%, creating over 500 jobs. From cities to villages, residents can now enjoy greenery from their windows and access parks just steps from their homes. Earth Day lasts one day, but protecting nature is a lasting commitment.

先说护绿。南岭深处的乳阳林场，护林员巡山常能偶遇莽山烙铁头蛇、白鹇、黄腹角雉，珍稀动物频频现身。再说用绿。肇庆广宁的马骝山民宿，原来是一片荒废竹园，现在变身网红打卡地，周末一房难求。最后看治绿。韶关南雄红砂岭曾经“天晴一身灰，下雨一坡泥”，经过山水林田湖草系统治理，植被覆盖率从70%提升到90.8%，还带动500多人就业。

从城市到乡村，广东人“推窗见绿、出门入园”已是日常。地球日不止一天，绿水青山才是长久的底气。
