Qianhai Museum Expected to Open by End of September

As one of the “major cultural facilities of the new era” in Shenzhen, the Qianhai Museum is set to begin trial operations by the end of September this year. Nestled between the Dananshan and Xiaonanshan mountains and overlooking Qianhai Bay, the museum covers approximately 126,000 square meters.

In addition to the Qianhai Museum, the "Ten New Major Cultural Facilities" include the Shenzhen Opera House, Shenzhen Reform and Opening-up Exhibition Hall, Shenzhen Bay Culture Square, Shenzhen Science and Technology Museum (Guangming New Hall), Shenzhen Maritime Museum, Shenzhen Natural History Museum, Shenzhen Art Museum (New Venue), Shenzhen Institute of Design and Innovation, and the School of Music at Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen.

作为深圳市“新时代重大文化设施”之一，前海博物馆预计今年9月底开馆试运行。前海博物馆背靠大小南山，面朝前海湾，总建筑面积约12.6万㎡。除了前海博物馆，“新十大文化设施”包括深圳歌剧院、深圳改革开放展览馆、深圳湾文化广场、深圳科技馆（新馆）、深圳海洋博物馆、深圳自然博物馆、深圳美术馆新馆、深圳创新创意设计学院、深圳音乐学院。
