2025年是中国与斐济建交50周年。近日，广东省卫生健康委相关负责人带队前往斐济，并与中国驻斐济使馆、斐济卫生部展开交流。

今年，广东省卫生健康委先后派出由广东省人民医院3名专家组成的“驻斐济短期医疗援助项目”团队和由中山大学中山眼科中心专家组成的“光明行”团队赴斐济开展短期技术帮扶、培训和“送医上岛”项目。

正值重要的历史节点，11月初，广东省卫生健康委副主任易学锋带领广东医疗队来到斐济开展合作交流。

易学锋介绍，广东省人民医院的专家团队已有5批队员来到斐济，每名医生在当地工作3个月进行医疗援外。中山眼科中心“光明行”项目则已在斐济进行至第十个年头，深受当地百姓欢迎。

“通过与斐济卫生部的交流，希望未来双方能达成更多、更深入的合作，特别是在短期培训方面，可以将斐济的管理人员、实验室的生物医药科研人员和医务人员送到中国进行短期培训。”易学锋表示。此外，目前广东医疗队也在探讨下一步实施爱“心”行动，应对斐济的心血管疾病治疗，发挥优势提供更好的“送医上岛”服务。

The year?2025 marks the 50th?anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and?Fiji. Recently, a delegation from the Health?Commission of Guangdong Province visited?Fiji, where they held discussions with the Chinese?Embassy?in?Fiji and the Fijian?Ministry?of?Health.

This year, Guangdong has launched multiple phases of medical aid to Fiji. The Health?Commission of Guangdong Province dispatched two specialized teams: one from the Guangdong?Provincial?People's?Hospital, composed of three experts under the short?term medical assistance program in?Fiji, and another from Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center of Sun Yat-sen University, under the "Brightness?Journey" project. Both carried out short?term technical support, training, and "Medical Team to the Pacific Islands" programs.

At this historic moment, in early?November, Yi?Xuefeng, deputy?director of the Health?Commission of Guangdong Province, led a Guangdong?medical team to?Fiji for further cooperation and exchange.

Yi?noted that experts from the Guangdong?Provincial?People's?Hospital have now completed five rotations in?Fiji, with each physician serving a three?month assignment on medical aid. Meanwhile, the Zhongshan?Ophthalmic?Center's "Brightness Journey" project has entered its tenth?year in?Fiji and has been warmly welcomed by the local population.

"Through exchanges with the Fijian?Ministry?of?Health, we hope to establish broader and deeper cooperation in the future, especially in short?term training. For example, we can bring Fijian administrative staff, biomedical laboratory researchers, and medical personnel to?China for short training stays," Yi said. He added that the Guangdong?medical teams are also exploring the next step—launching a "heart caring action" to address cardiovascular?disease?treatment in?Fiji, leveraging Guangdong's strengths to provide enhanced "Medical Team to the Pacific Islands" services.
