Hong Kong Wraps: Huang Zhiying's "Off Route" for 2025 Maritime Guangdong Program

Art and Culture |The short film "Off Route," directed by Huang Zhiying, one of the top ten filmmakers of the 2025 Maritime Guangdong Program, has recently wrapped up filming in Hong Kong. "Off Route" tells the story of two women on the border between Shenzhen and Hong Kong: May, a cross-boundary driver, and A Ling, a bird conservationist, who unexpectedly swap maps. Guided by birds, the two embark on a journey of wandering, drifting like wandering spirits across boundaries of every possible meaning.

近日，由2025“向山海走去”青年导演创作扶持计划（简称山海计划）十强导演黄芷莹执导的短片《迷上鸟》在香港杀青。《迷上鸟》同样讲述了一个发生在两位女性之间的、游离在边境线上的故事：深港跨境司机May和鸟类保育员阿玲意外对调了地图，在鸟的引导下，两人在各种意义的边界上游戏、游荡、游魂……
