Giant Pandas "Jiujiu" and "Youyou" Arrive at Guangzhou Zoo!

City Life | On September 16, the special transport carrying giant pandas "Jiujiu" and "Youyou" safely arrived at Guangzhou Zoo, where many local residents gathered spontaneously to welcome them. This pair of four-year-old male twins was born in September 2021 at Madrid Zoo in Spain and returned to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in March 2024. For their arrival, Guangzhou Zoo specially constructed a new panda facility, which meets all essential requirements for the daily care, exhibition, disease prevention, safety management, and public education related to the two pandas.#citylife

9月16日，大熊猫“久久”和“友友”的专属座驾平安抵达广州动物园，现场不少市民自发前来迎接。这对4岁的雄性双胞胎大熊猫2021年9月出生于西班牙马德里动物园，2024年3月回到成都大熊猫繁育研究基地。此次广州动物园专门建设了新大熊猫馆，可满足2只大熊猫日常的饲养、展示、疾病防控、安全防控及公众教育的基本条件。
