"Queen of Butterflies" Spotted! First Sighting of Teinopalpus aureus at Guangzhou's Liuxi River National Forest Park

Lingnan: Beauty Beyond Borders | With its forewings shimmering in gold-band patterns and its hindwings adorned with a central golden patch, complemented by slender golden-tipped tails, it moves with elegant grace in flight… Recently, during a biodiversity survey, Liuxi River National Forest Park in Guangzhou recorded its first-ever sighting of the Teinopalpus aureus, a wild butterfly species under first-class national protection in China.

前翅金黄色斑带和后翅中央金黄色斑纹交相辉映，尾状突出细长且末端金黄，飞行时姿态优美灵动……近日，广州市流溪河国家森林公园在生物多样性专项调查团队于园内首次观测并记录到国家一级保护野生动物金斑喙凤蝶的活动踪迹。
