Guangdong features the  largest mangrove coverage in China, with a total area of 11,400 hectares

Lingnan: Beauty Beyond Borders | Guangdong has the largest mangrove coverage in China, spanning 11,400 hectares. Over 60% of these mangroves are within protected areas, with nearly 95% under strict ecological conservation redlines. The province has established 3 internationally significant wetlands, 1 national-level wetland, and 17 provincial-level wetlands dedicated to mangrove conservation. The mangroves stretch from the east Raoping county in Chaozhou, to the west Xuwen county in Zhanjiang, encompassing 39 counties, districts and the province’s 14 prefecture-level cities along the #coast.

广东是全国红树林分布面积最大的省份，现有红树林1.14万公顷，约60%的红树林被纳入自然保护地、近95%的红树林被纳入生态保护红线，共建立以红树林为主要保护对象的国际重要湿地3处、国家重要湿地1处、省级重要湿地17处。广东红树林东起潮州饶平柘林港，西至湛江徐闻五里镇，分布于14个地级市39个县。
