Meizhou: Savoring the Hakka flavor in Jiaying Ancient Town

In the early morning, the fragrance from Meizhou's Jiaying Ancient Town wafts through the air. The fried delicacies like pumpkin balls and fried cakes carry the warmth and good fortune of the old town, making people linger. Passing through the bustling fried food area, one arrives at the Youluo pastry shop, filled with traditional Hakka pastries such as rice cake and moonlight cake. Continuing, the mellow Hakka rice wine, the refreshing pomelo peel candy, and the sweet and spicy ginger candy are all among the abundant varieties of Hakka specialties. There are also Hakka meatballs, glutinous rice cakes, yellow rice cakes, stuffed tofu, and braised pork with preserved vegetables, stimulating the appetite.
