Explore the Former Residence of Lin Fengmian in Meizhou

As autumn has already arrived, the breeze in Ge Gongling Village, Meizhou, carries a hint of coolness. Walking along the well-paved road into the village, you can see a traditional Hakka residence, a siheyuan-style building with grey tiles and white walls facing north, attached to a lateral house. This is the former residence of  Lin Fengmian. In recent years, with the support of the local government, a new building with a strong sense of art has been built behind the former residence, the Lin Fengmian Memorial Hall. The design of the memorial hall skillfully integrates Lin Fengmian's life trajectory. It is the only thematic memorial hall in China that comprehensively displays Lin Fengmian's life, artistic achievements, and contributions.

立秋已过，梅州市西阳镇阁公岭村的风也带了些凉意，沿着平整的道路走进村里，可见一座坐南朝北，灰瓦白墙的四合院式附筑一横屋的客家传统民居，这便是林风眠青少年时期居住的故居——敦裕居。近年来，在当地政府的大力支持下，林风眠故居的后面新建了一座极具艺术感的建筑——林风眠纪念馆。该纪念馆的设计巧妙融合了林风眠的人生轨迹，是中国唯一一座全方位展示林风眠生平、艺术成就与贡献的专题纪念馆。
