Video｜Opera "Marco Polo" to be restaged at Guangzhou Opera House on May 3rd and 4th

On the evening of May 1st,Canton Tower, China's tallest tower, lighted up for the "Encounter Marco Polo" series of events.

The year 2024 marks the 700th anniversary of Marco Polo's passing. On May 3rd and 4th, the opera "Marco Polo" will be restaged at Guangzhou Opera House.

The opera revolves around Marco Polo's legendary journey in the East, encompassing a magnificent epic scale and dramatic stories, which showcase the cultural value and humanistic charm along the Silk Road.

In May 2018, "Marco Polo" was premiered at Guangzhou Opera House and Beijing Tianqiao Performing Arts Center, attracting significant attention from around the world.

"GBOPERA", an Italian classical music magazine, praised it as "a new work worth promoting".The British "Financial Times" gave it a four-star review.

5月1日晚，中国第一高塔——广州塔为“遇‘鉴’马可·波罗”系列活动亮灯。

2024年是马可·波罗逝世700周年，歌剧《马可·波罗》5月3日、4日将在广州大剧院再次上演。

全剧以马可·波罗的东方传奇行记为主线，包含了波澜壮阔的史诗格局和荡气回肠的爱恨情仇，彰显了丝绸之路的文化价值和人文风采。

2018年5月，《马可·波罗》在广州大剧院和北京天桥艺术中心进行了首轮演出，引发世界各地高度关注。意大利古典音乐专业杂志《GBOPERA》盛赞其为“最值得推广的新制作”，英国《金融时报》给出了四星好评。
