The parade is over 8 km long! Shantou Chaoyang Folklore and Culture Festival held in grand style

Lingnan: Beauty Beyond Borders | The sound of #gongs and drums, #firecrackers, cheers, and so on were intertwined together to form a festive sea; #Yingge Dance team, Flute #Music team, lion dance team, and flag team took to the battlefield as an interpretation of a tide full of cultural feast. On March 17, "the eleventh Chaoyang Folk Culture Festival" in Shantou district was held grandly, with more than 100 Chaoshan folk culture teams sharing the same stage! The parade of nearly ten thousand people stretched over 8 kilometers.

The festival revolves around a special belief of the people in the two patriotic national heroes ZhangXun and Xu Yuan, as well as the sacrificial activities and cultural #parades derived from them, reflecting the patriotism of the people of #Chaoyang in honoring the martyrs and the panoramic presentation of the #history, #folklore, and #culture of Chaoyang. #SplendidLingnan

潮阳“双忠文化”是指民众对两位爱国民族英雄张巡、许远的一种特殊信仰，包含着由此衍生出来的祭祀活动和文艺巡游活动等内容，体现了潮阳民众敬仰忠烈的爱国主义情怀，也是潮阳历史、民俗、文化的全景式呈现。
